Blues Instrumental

Long before Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks entered the picture, Fleetwood Mac were a triumph of British blues, scoring a UK number one with "Albatross" in the video above. Deeply indebted to the likes of Elmore James and Robert Johnson, Fleetwood Mac began life as merchants of pure blues. Their first two albums – Fleetwood Mac and Mr. Wonderful, both from 1968 – strayed very little from the formula. But by the time of their third album, Then Play On, things were beginning to steer toward more interesting directions.

In late 1974, while Fleetwood was scouting studios in Los Angeles, he was introduced to folk-rock duo Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks. The addition of Buckingham and Nicks gave the band a more pop rock/folk rock sound and their 1975 self-titled album, Fleetwood Mac, reached No. 1 in the US. Rumours (1977), Fleetwood Mac's second album after the arrival of Buckingham and Nicks, produced four US Top 10 singles and remained at No. 1 on the American albums chart for 31 weeks. It also reached the top spot in various countries around the world.

Can you write or compose blues music? Or even do a blues instrumental cover? Please send a video here. Blend all instruments involved, or highlight each instrument in the song. Even come up with a new technique, arrangement, or a fusion of styles, if you like. You can also use sounds from your computer if you are not able to secure the needed music instruments.
