In the video: Itzhak Perlman, an Israeli-American violinist, conductor, and music teacher. Over the course of his career, Perlman has performed worldwide, has won over 15 Grammy Awards and a Grammy Lifetime Award. He has conducted the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, and the Westchester Philharmonic. In 2015, he was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

String instruments played with bows give a fine sweet sound to any song. Plucked instruments on the other hand gives a rustic feel. String instruments include the Violin, Cello, Harp, Banjo, Ukulele, Double Bass, Chapman Stick, Gadulka, Balalaika, Sitar, Rebec, Mandolin, Lute, Psaltery, Pipa, Oud, and many others. If you or a band mate know how to play a string instrument, please record and send a video of you doing a solo. Backing tracks and live accompanying musicians are fine as long as the focus is on the guitar.
